TREND WALK THROUGH LONDON’S EAST END - INSPIRATION AND COLOUR STORIESThe East End of London is one important reason why London is the number one fashion capital. It may not be home to the biggest fashion house boutiques but it is London’s creative hub and ground zero for design inspiration and trends - most of which will eventually be scooped up by fashionista’s and design companies. Most notably the son of the The East End is the late Alexander McQueen whose design house remains centered in the local community today.

The East End - as it is known - is a fertile ground for raw organic design. It is gritty and sometimes it is not pretty, but it is home to the most authentic people, new best music clubs, restaurants, design agencies, fashion houses, commuter bike culture, Spitifields Market, vintage stores and on and on. The East End is a melting pot of cultures, artists, musicians and designers all combining to produce a non-ostentatious design vibe, where design studios and trendy warehouses sit next to curry houses and pubs.
If you are a designer and don’t already live there, then hop on The Tube to Liverpool Station and just start walking. First stop - Spitalfields Market - then continue east exploring as you go Shoreditch, Clerkenwell, Hoxton, Hackney and Bethnal Green. Along the way you will find superb eating, the best pubs, endless design studios, private clubs, bike shops, markets and design galleries. The most important thing you will find is inspiration, everywhere! No need for expensive design resources, just stop and look around you. Each blink of the eye brings another design idea, another interior inspiration and another product colour story. VIDEO - TREND A WALK THROUGH THE EAST END
